Constructed for durability and efficiency this Aluminum Cam & Groove Coupler with a 4 Inch Male NPT thread is manufactured by Sunrise Hose. Ideal for liquid transfer applications this coupler features a body made from Aluminum A356 or A104 with brass cam levers and plated steel pins rings and safety clips. The Buna-N seals enhance the product's performance ensuring a reliable seal.

The safety clip feature includes cast-in lugs and special cam lever arms that secure the coupler preventing accidental uncoupling. Compatible with all products made to the A-A-59326 standard it offers interchangeability for various industry needs. Press the cam levers down to couple and lift the cam arms to uncouple quickly and efficiently.

With a pressure rating of 150 PSI for sizes 1/2 to 4 this coupler is designed to withstand demanding environments. This robust and versatile coupling solution eliminates the need for additional tools providing a seamless user experience.

safety clip on this thing, does it actually keep it from poppin loose on its own, or is that more of a "just in case" feature?

Those cast-in lugs and the special cam lever arms work together so a safety pin can be inserted once the coupler is locked. Until that pin gets pulled out, the coupler physically cannot be uncoupled. It's not just a backup measure, it's a positive lock that prevents accidental release during operation.

got a 4 inch camlock setup already. is this the female half with 4" male npt on the back side?

You are looking at a female cam and groove coupler with a 4 inch male NPT threaded end. It is made to interchange with other cam and groove parts built to the A-A-59326 standard.

Will this cam lock hook up to standard fittings, or is there some special kind I gotta get?

Interchangeability is a key feature. It'll work with any product made to the A-A-59326 standard, which used to be MIL-C-27487F. Just a heads up, though, the 1/2" and 8" sizes sometimes don't play well with other brands.
