Product Questions & Answers (4)
Question by: Rex M on Dec 25, 2025, 6:37 AM
got a 4 inch female NPT line here, is this the right half to hook up to a camlock adapter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 27, 2025, 7:41 AM
With a 4 inch Female NPT connection on your line, this female cam and groove coupler is the matching half. To couple it, slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down by hand, then lift the cam arms to uncouple.
Question by: Rod C on Mar 24, 2025, 2:15 PM
needing to hook up some heavy duty compressed air lines out back. u reckon this coupler will hold up to that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 26, 2025, 6:59 AM
Under no circumstances should cam and groove couplings handle compressed air or steam service. They are meant strictly for liquid applications.
Question by: Brett M on May 31, 2025, 7:30 AM
What kind of liquids can I run through this thing? I'm mostly moving water but sometimes it's got some grit in it.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 1, 2025, 7:07 PM
Designed for liquid applications, this coupler should work for your water transfer needs. For specific recommendations when dealing with fluids with grit, it's best to give us a call so we can help assess your setup.
Question by: Ronnie B on May 1, 2025, 2:01 PM
safety clip and the cast-in lugs on this thing, are those standard on the female half or just certain sizes?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 3, 2025, 6:24 AM
Both features come on this coupler. The cast-in lugs are built right into the body and allow you to run a safety pin through once the lug passes through the slot in the cam lever arm. That pin keeps the coupler locked until you pull it out, so there's no accidental uncoupling during operation. The safety clip is also included. For a 4-inch fitting moving liquid under pressure, that added security is worth having.
