The Aluminum Cam & Groove Adapter Inch Dust Plug is engineered to facilitate the secure handling of liquids. Utilizing high-grade Aluminum A356 or A104 for its body and brass for the cam levers this durable component ensures reliable performance.

Equipped with Buna-N seals and plated steel pins rings and safety clips it provides enhanced reliability in various industrial setups. To couple simply slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down with normal hand pressure. For uncoupling lift the cam arms and remove the adapter from the coupler.

This adapter interchanges with products produced to standard A-A-59326 or DIN 2828 although note the exceptions for sizes 1/2 and 8. Pressure ratings for this adapter are 150 PSI for sizes 1/2 to 4 and 75 PSI for sizes 5 to 8.

The design incorporates cast-in lugs allowing safety pins to be attached thereby preventing accidental uncoupling until the pins are removed. This secure feature is particularly relevant when dealing with liquid applications.

what exactly is this dust plug for, and does it do anything besides just cap off the end?

Keeps the coupler end sealed and protected when it's not connected to anything. It fits into a standard cam and groove coupler, and once you press the cam levers down it locks in place with normal hand pressure. The body is cast aluminum, the cam levers are brass, and it uses Buna-N seals, so it holds up well in liquid handling setups. Worth noting that the safety pin feature adds an extra layer here too. Cast-in lugs on the coupler let you run a pin through once it's seated, which keeps it from backing out accidentally until you pull the pin.

Hey, will this plug keep water and stuff out if I'm using it outside?
