Designed for high-performance liquid handling, this Aluminum Cam & Groove Adapter, Male Half, Inch Hose Shank from Can Industrial Inc is engineered with durability and efficiency in mind. The adapter features a robust Aluminum A356 or A104 body and comes with brass cam levers, providing resilience in demanding industrial applications. Plated steel is used for pins, rings, and safety clips, ensuring long-lasting reliability.
Exceptional interchangeability is a key feature, as it is compatible with all products produced to standard A-A-59326 or DIN 2828, though interchangeability for 1/2rdquo; and 8rdquo; sizes is not guaranteed. Pressure ratings are set at 150 PSI for sizes 1/2rdquo; - 4rdquo; and 75 PSI for sizes 5rdquo; to 8rdquo;. Seals are crafted from high-quality Buna-N for optimal performance.
The adapter is designed for ease of use: simply slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down with normal hand pressure to couple, and lift the cam arms to uncouple. Female couplers with cast-in lugs can accommodate safety pins, preventing accidental uncoupling.
It is crucial to note that Cam & Groove Couplings should not be employed with compressed air or steam service. This product is primarily intended for liquid applications.

this fitting safe to run compressed air through? got a pneumatic setup and tryin to figure out if it'll work for what we need.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 27, 2025, 8:50 AM
Cam and groove couplings like this one are not rated for compressed air service, period. Same goes for steam. Liquid applications only. If you're running a pneumatic system, you'll need a different style of coupling altogether.

what sizes run at 150 PSI with these cam lock fittings, and do the bigger ones drop off on pressure?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 10, 2025, 7:20 AM
Anything from half inch up through 4 inch is rated at 150 PSI. Once you get into the 5 inch through 8 inch range, the pressure rating drops to 75 PSI. So yes, the larger sizes do carry a lower rating, which is worth keeping in mind if you're sizing these for a high-flow liquid transfer setup.

Trying to match up parts here. will this male cam lock interchange with other brands or am i stuck with one maker?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 25, 2025, 3:05 PM
Interchangeability is built in for standard sizes. It interchanges with products made to A-A-59326 or DIN 2828. The catch is the 1/2 inch and 8 inch sizes since no standard exists there, so those generally do not interchange with other manufacturers.
