got a -06 AQP hose, is this the straight crimp end with the female JIC 37 flare swivel?

For a -06 AQP or StartLite racing hose, this is the straight crimp hose end, and the connection side is a female JIC 37 degree flare swivel.

got a -06 AQP hose I'm swapping out on a race car build and need a straight female JIC end that'll crimp on clean. this the right fitting for that?

For AQP and StartLite racing hose in -06 size, yes, that's exactly what this fitting is built for. It's a straight crimp end with a female JIC 37-degree flare swivel connection, so it'll mate up to a standard JIC 37-degree male fitting on the other end. The swivel feature makes final assembly a lot easier since you can get the hose routed before torquing everything down. Just make sure you're using the correct crimp tooling spec'd for Eaton Aeroquip fittings to get a proper crimp on the collar.
