Built specifically for Aeroquip AQP and StartLite racing hose, this is a -08 straight crimp fitting meant to be crimped on with compatible crimping equipment for a permanent hose end.

Got an AQP hose assembly I'm putting together for a racing application, will this fitting work with it, or is it only for the StartLite hose?

Both actually. This crimp fitting is built specifically for Aeroquip AQP and StartLite racing hose, so either one works with it at the -8 hose size. Just make sure you're using compatible crimping equipment to get a proper permanent termination on the assembly.
