Designed for use with -10 hose and a Female JIC 37° Flare Swivel connection, the Red/Blue Anodized Aluminum Reusable Socketless Fitting, -10 Hose & Female JIC 37 deg Flare Swivel, Straight is a straight-configuration fitting from Eaton Aeroquip. The anodized aluminum construction keeps weight low while providing corrosion resistance suited to hydraulic line assemblies in mobile and industrial equipment.
As a socketless, reusable design, this fitting assembles without a separate socket or crimping equipment, making it practical for field repair and low-volume fabrication. The 37° flare swivel end allows rotational positioning during assembly, reducing torsional stress on the hose. Catalog number C1CP85 identifies this fitting within the Eaton Aeroquip product line.

Socketless and reusable is the key here. It’s made to assemble without a separate socket and without crimping equipment, which is why it’s a common pick for field repair or low volume hose builds.

fitting says it's reusable, so does that mean I can pull it apart and put it back on a different hose if I need to swap things around in the field?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 4, 2026, 9:24 AM
Reusable in this context means the fitting can be disassembled and reinstalled without needing a new socket or crimping equipment. Since it's a socketless design, there's no permanent crimp holding it to the hose, so yes, you can remove it and reassemble it onto another compatible -10 hose. That's actually one of the main reasons guys reach for this style of fitting when they're doing field repairs or low-volume work where a crimp press isn't practical.
