Designed for hydraulic line routing where directional change is required, the Blue Anodized Aluminum Adapter, -06 Male JIC 37° Flare To 1/4 Inch Male NPT, 45° Elbow from Eaton Aeroquip provides a reliable connection between JIC and NPT threaded systems. The 45-degree elbow configuration reduces stress on fittings and hose assemblies in space-constrained installations.
Constructed from aluminum with a blue anodized finish, this adapter offers corrosion resistance in demanding fluid power environments. The -06 A dash size JIC 37-degree male flare mates with standard JIC fittings, while the 1/4 inch male NPT end connects to corresponding NPT ports. Catalog number C1CQ30 identifies this fitting within the Eaton Aeroquip product line.

It's got a -06 size JIC 37-degree male flare on one side, and a 1/4 inch male NPT on the other.

Got a tight spot on a hydraulic line where I need to change direction without putting a bunch of strain on the hose, would a 45-degree elbow fitting work better than trying to force a straight adapter in there?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 26, 2025, 6:02 AM
A 45-degree elbow is exactly what helps in that kind of situation. When there's not much room to work with, bending a hose assembly to make a straight fitting work puts stress on both the hose and the fitting over time. The angled configuration lets the line route more naturally, which takes that stress off the connection point. This one has a -06 JIC 37-degree male flare on one end and a 1/4 inch male NPT on the other, so it bridges those two thread types while also giving you that directional change in one piece.

trying to hook a -06 JIC hose up to a 1/4 npt port, is this the right elbow for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 1, 2026, 8:34 AM
For that kind of hookup, it matches up the two thread styles: a -06 male JIC 37 degree flare on one end and a 1/4 inch male NPT on the other, built into a 45 degree elbow to turn the line.
