trying to hook a -10 jic line to a -6 jic hose, is this the right straight adapter for that?

got a -10 JIC line on one end and need to step it down to -06 JIC on the other, this the right piece for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. One end is -10 male JIC 37-degree flare, the other is -06 male JIC 37-degree flare, straight through. Both ends are male, so you'll be threading into female JIC fittings on each side.
