Blue Anodized Aluminum Adapter, -12 Male SAE O-Ring Boss (Straight Thread O-Ring) To -12 Male JIC 37 deg Flare, Straight

Description & Features

Manufactured by Eaton Aeroquip, this Blue Anodized Aluminum Adapter, -12 Male SAE O-Ring Boss (Straight Thread O-Ring) To -12 Male JIC 37 deg Flare, Straight provides a reliable transition between -12 SAE O-Ring Boss and -12 JIC 37° flare connections in a single straight-body fitting. The blue anodized aluminum construction offers a lightweight solution with corrosion resistance suited to hydraulic circuit routing and fluid system assembly in industrial equipment.

The straight thread O-ring boss end seals at the thread engagement point, while the JIC 37° flare end creates a metal-to-metal seal, making this adapter well suited for applications where both connection types appear within the same assembly. The equal dash sizing on both ends (-12 to -12) simplifies line sizing and maintains consistent flow path diameter throughout the connection.

Product Questions & Answers (3)

Question by: Frank H on Nov 13, 2025, 3:48 PM
Got a line running -12 JIC on one end and -12 ORB on the other, both same dash size. This fitting do the job straight through without reducin' flow?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 15, 2025, 7:11 AM
Equal dash sizing on both ends means the flow path stays consistent all the way through. The -12 to -12 configuration doesn't step down anywhere, so you're not introducing a restriction at the connection point. The straight body keeps everything in line without any offset, which makes routing cleaner in tighter assemblies.
Question by: Rod M on Jan 3, 2026, 7:29 AM
trying to hook up an ORB port to a JIC hose end, is this the right adapter if both sides are -12
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 5, 2026, 7:19 AM
For a straight adapter that goes from -12 male SAE O-ring boss to -12 male JIC 37 degree flare, that is exactly what this fitting is. Both ends are the same dash size so it keeps the line sizing consistent through the connection.
Question by: Harvey W on Sep 7, 2025, 2:01 PM
If I'm using this adapter, does it matter which end I hook up to the O-ring boss versus the JIC flare?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 8, 2025, 5:10 PM
This adapter doesn't have a directional requirement. The -12 Male SAE O-Ring Boss end is designed to connect to a corresponding SAE O-Ring Boss port, while the -12 Male JIC 37 deg Flare end connects to a JIC 37° flare fitting. As long as the mating connections are correct, the adapter will function as intended.
