what's the temp range on this hose? got some coolant and oil lines running through a pretty hot engine bay and want to make sure it ain't gonna give out on me
Answer by: Customer Support on May 7, 2025, 6:06 AM
For most fluids like fuel, oil, and coolants, this hose holds up from -55°F all the way to 300°F. Air service is the one exception, where the upper limit drops to 250°F. Engine bay heat near those lines should fall well within the acceptable range as long as you're not pushing past those thresholds.

What kind of stuff can this hose handle without breaking down?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 18, 2025, 1:32 PM
This AQP elastomer tube is made to stand up to air, gasoline, fuel, lubricating oils, and coolants.
Question by: Jimmy E on Nov 17, 2025, 8:17 PM
hose rated for air brake lines on a heavy truck, or is it more of a general engine hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 18, 2025, 8:18 PM
Air brake duty is exactly what this hose was built for. It meets FMVSS106, which is the federal standard specifically covering brake hoses for motor vehicles. Beyond air brake use, it also handles fuel, gasoline, lubricating oils, and coolants, so it pulls double duty across a lot of underhood applications. The 400 PSI max operating pressure and the temperature range of negative 55 up to 300 degrees F give it enough headroom for demanding engine bay environments.
