got a 1-1/8 inch line on an air brake setup, is this hose the right size or am i mixing up the ID and OD?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 13, 2025, 6:53 AM
For sizing, the inside diameter on this hose is 1.12 inch, and the outside diameter is 1.5 inch. If you are matching a 1-1/8 inch flow path, the ID is the number to pay attention to, not the OD.

hose is rated for air brake systems right? got a rig that needs new lines and this looks like it'd fit the bill
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 10, 2025, 2:06 PM
air brake is one of the core applications for this hose. It carries the FMVSS106 certification, which is the federal motor vehicle safety standard specifically required for air brake hose in commercial vehicle applications. The 1.12 inch ID and 300 PSI max operating pressure cover typical air brake system demands, though keep in mind the temperature ceiling for air service specifically is 250°F, not the full 300°F rating you'd see for other media like fuel or coolant.

got a tight spot under the hood. how tight can i bend this hose without kinkin it
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 1, 2025, 7:31 AM
For routing, the minimum bend radius on this hose is 4.5 inches. Staying at or above that bend radius helps it keep its shape and avoid kinking while you’re snaking it through a crowded engine bay.

runs up to 300 PSI, but what's the temperature range on this hose? got a coolant line that sees some pretty nasty heat cycles
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 11, 2025, 8:40 PM
Rated from negative 55 degrees F all the way up to positive 300 degrees F, so it handles cold starts in the dead of winter and sustained heat from engine coolant without breaking down. The AQP elastomer tube and polyester braid construction are what give it that kind of range across both extremes.
