hose says -08 dash size, that mean the ID is 7/16 roughly? trying to match it up to some fittings I already got on hand
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 15, 2025, 3:10 PM
Pretty close. The actual inside diameter on this hose is 0.44 inches, which works out just a hair over 7/16. That 0.44 ID is the measured spec, so when you're matching it to fittings, go off that number rather than rounding. The -08 dash designation is a nominal callout used across most hydraulic hose lines, and 0.44 ID lines up with standard -8 fittings in the Aeroquip system.

i’ve got a -08 line already. is this hose actually the -08 size with the 0.44 inch inside diameter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 22, 2025, 8:28 AM
The dash size on this one is -08 and the hose I.D. is 0.44 inch, so it matches what folks usually mean when they say an -08 hose.

What size is this hose? I need to make sure it'll fit my setup.

The inside diameter is 0.44 inches, and the outside diameter is 0.65 inches. It's a -08 dash size.
Question by: Todd P on Jul 26, 2025, 7:17 PM
what size ID does this hose run? need to match up with existing fittings on a hydraulic press and can't afford to get it wrong
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 27, 2025, 7:35 PM
The inner diameter on this hose measures 0.44 inches. That puts it in the -8 size range, which lines up with standard AN/JIC -8 fittings used across a lot of hydraulic and racing fuel system setups. If your press is already plumbed with -8 connections, this should mate up without issue.
