hose says -08 dash size, that mean the ID is 7/16 roughly? trying to match it up to some fittings I already got on hand

Pretty close. The actual inside diameter on this hose is 0.44 inches, which works out just a hair over 7/16. That 0.44 ID is the measured spec, so when you're matching it to fittings, go off that number rather than rounding. The -08 dash designation is a nominal callout used across most hydraulic hose lines, and 0.44 ID lines up with standard -8 fittings in the Aeroquip system.

i’ve got a -08 line already. is this hose actually the -08 size with the 0.44 inch inside diameter?

what size ID does this hose run? need to match up with existing fittings on a hydraulic press and can't afford to get it wrong
