Aro-Flo Series Air Line Filter, 1/4 NPT Ports, 5 micron Element, 73 SCFM Flow Rating, 1.2 oz Bowl Capacity, Manual Drain

Description & Features

Designed for compressed air filtration in pneumatic systems, the Aro-Flo Series Air Line Filter, 1/4 NPT Ports, 5 micron Element, 73 SCFM Flow Rating, 1.2 oz Bowl Capacity, Manual Drain removes airborne solid and liquid contaminants from the air supply before they reach downstream equipment. The 5-micron polyethylene filter element handles general-purpose filtration, while coalescing elements rated to 0.3 micron are available separately for oil aerosol removal.

Part of Ingersoll Rand Aro's 1500 Series, this filter features an aluminum body with a polycarbonate bowl rated to 150 psi at temperatures between 23°F and 125°F. The manual drain allows collected contaminants to be expelled as needed. At 2.21 inches wide and 6.16 inches tall, the compact footprint suits space-constrained installations. The unit is modular-compatible with Aro-Flo regulators and lubricators for F+R+L combination assemblies using standard spacer kits.

Question by: Roy M on Jan 20, 2026, 1:24 PM
Will this little filter handle the moisture coming out of my compressor, or do I need a whole separate water trap?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 22, 2026, 6:45 AM
Designed for compressed air filtration, this unit removes airborne solid and liquid contaminants from your air supply. It's a good general-purpose filter. For heavy moisture, you might still consider a dedicated water trap upstream.
Question by: Brett M on Aug 6, 2025, 9:25 AM
got a little air tool setup in the shop. is this filter gonna keep the water and gunk out before it hits my regulator?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 7, 2025, 6:51 PM
Upstream filtration is exactly what it’s for. It strips out airborne solid and liquid contaminants before they reach downstream equipment, and it’s meant to be installed in the usual order of filter, then regulator, then lubricator if you’re running one.
