This Eaton Aeroquip ST SERIES male brass coupling is suitable for fluid transfer applications, as well as chemical, food and beverage, injection molding, marine, medical, pressure washing, and steam cleaning uses. This male half features a push-to-connect end and a 2 NPTF end.
Featuring a ball lock internal connection type, this quick disconnect coupling allows for quick connect and disconnect with no special tools needed. The brass coupling utilizes a Buna-N seal material and exceeds ISO 16028 operating pressures. It has a minimum working temperature of -40 degrees. Flow Rate1 is 490 gallons per minute.
does this coupling work with food and beverage lines, or is it more of an industrial-only kind of fitting?

Buna-N seals and brass construction put it squarely in the mix for food and beverage applications, along with chemical transfer, medical setups, and pressure washing. The ball lock mechanism keeps the connection secure during fluid transfer without needing any tools to make or break the connection. Just confirm your line size matches the 2-inch port before ordering.

Does this coupling work with NPTF threads on the pipe side, or do I need some kind of adapter to make it fit?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 3, 2025, 9:47 AM
The port connection on this male half is NPTF, so it threads directly onto a standard NPTF fitting without any adapter in between. The push-to-connect end is what mates to the female half of the ST Series coupling. Both ends are built into one piece, so installation is pretty straightforward once you have the right female counterpart on hand.
