DIXON SAFETY VENTED BALL VALVE 3/4

Description & Features

Designed with a built-in venting function, the Dixon Safety Vented Ball Valve 3/4 provides automatic pressure relief between the ball and downstream seat when the valve is moved to the closed position. This safety feature helps prevent pressure buildup in isolated line sections, making it well-suited for industrial fluid control applications where trapped pressure poses a risk. The 3/4-inch valve is constructed in bronze with female threaded connections on both ends.

Manufactured by Dixon Valve & Coupling, this valve is a reliable choice for industrial fluid systems requiring an added layer of pressure safety at the shutoff point. The vented design distinguishes it from standard ball valves and is particularly useful in systems where thermal expansion or residual pressure in a closed segment must be managed.

when i shut a line off, is this valve gonna bleed off that trapped pressure or does it just stop flow
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 27, 2026, 6:43 AM
When you move it to the closed position, the built-in venting function automatically relieves pressure trapped between the ball and the downstream seat. It is meant to help prevent pressure buildup in an isolated section after shutoff.

What size is this ball valve, pipe-wise?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 4, 2026, 12:46 PM
It's a 3/4-inch valve, designed for systems that use that size pipe thread.
