Blue Anodized Aluminum Tube Fitting (AN 818), -04 JIC 37 deg Flare Nut

Description & Features

Manufactured from blue anodized aluminum, this -04 dash size JIC fitting is designed for 37-degree flare connections commonly used in hydraulic and fluid power lines. The Blue Anodized Aluminum Tube Fitting (AN 818) is sourced from Eaton Aeroquip, a recognized name in performance fluid conveyance components.

The anodized aluminum construction reduces weight compared to steel alternatives while providing corrosion resistance suitable for a range of hydraulic fluid types. The 37-degree flare nut design conforms to JIC standards, making it compatible with standard AN/JIC flare tube assemblies across mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits.

The blue anodizing also serves as a quick visual identifier for dash size or fluid system designation in multi-line installations.

got a -04 JIC line I'm trying to reconnect after swapping out a pump, this the right nut for that flare end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 23, 2026, 6:27 AM
For a standard -04 JIC 37-degree flare connection, yes this is the correct nut. It follows JIC standards so it'll mate up with any AN/JIC flare tube assembly at that dash size. Eaton Aeroquip makes this one, so fitment on a properly flared tube end should be straightforward.
