Box Motor With Internal Check Valves For Bi-Rotational Capability, 5.15 cu in/rev, 4 Bolt SAE B Mounting Flange, 13 Tooth SAE B Splined Shaft, 1-1/4 NPT Side and Rear Ports, Bi-Rotational, Case Drain

Description & Features

This motors bi-rotational capability is enhanced by internal check valves that drain case pressure back to the low-pressure side. With a displacement of 5.15 cu in/rev and a 4 Bolt SAE B mounting flange it is ideal for demanding industrial applications. A 13 Tooth SAE B splined shaft and side and rear 1-1/4 NPT ports add versatility. The motor operates at a rated speed of 2000 RPM and a pressure rating of 2500 PSI. Outlet pressures over 50 PSI require a case drain. Precision-cut gears and a special iron alloy ensure maximum volumetric efficiency. The 'Continental Shaft feature allows easy shaft changes without full motor disassembly. To maintain performance use a 25 micron return filter with a B10 rating of at least 2.2. Continuous system temperature should remain under 150F for durability.

Question by: Shane M on Mar 4, 2026, 10:54 AM
got a setup where the return side can see some backpressure. when do i need to run a case drain on this motor?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 5, 2026, 8:21 PM
Once outlet pressure goes over 50 PSI, a case drain line is required. This motor has internal check valves that route case pressure back to the low pressure side, but it still needs that case drain any time you are above that 50 PSI outlet backpressure limit.
Question by: Randy W on Jun 26, 2025, 6:38 AM
got a setup running both directions depending on the job, does this motor actually handle true bi-rotational use or is that just a marketing thing
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 27, 2025, 1:02 PM
Bi-rotational operation is fully supported on this motor, and the internal check valves are what make it work properly. Those valves automatically route case pressure back to whichever side is running low pressure, so you're not fighting back-pressure damage when you reverse direction. No external hydraulic connections changes needed to swap rotation.
