Constructed from brass with stainless steel cam levers and Buna-N seals, the Brass Cam & Groove Coupler, Female Half, 1-1/2 Inch Hose Shank is built for reliable liquid transfer in industrial hose applications. The 1-1/2 inch hose shank end connects directly to compatible hose, while the cam and groove interface mates with standard adapters conforming to A-A-59326 (superseding Mil-C-27487F) or Din 2828, ensuring broad interchangeability across manufacturers.
Coupling and uncoupling require only hand pressure, pressing the cam levers down to lock and lifting them to release. A safety clip feature adds a secondary lock: cast-in lugs on the female coupler allow safety pins to be inserted through slots in the cam lever arms, preventing accidental uncoupling under load. Pressure rating is 150 PSI for this 1-1/2 inch size. Pins, rings, and safety clips are plated steel. Intended for liquid service only.

got a 1-1/2 inch hose, how’s this one hook up, do I just clamp it on the shank?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 4, 2026, 6:19 AM
For the hose side, it has a 1-1/2 inch hose shank that goes directly into a compatible hose, and the attachment method depends on the hose type. On the cam and groove side, you slide the matching adapter in and press the cam levers down by hand to lock it.
Question by: Melvin T on Nov 17, 2025, 11:49 AM
What kind of liquids can I run through this coupler? I'm mainly moving water, but sometimes I need to move some light oils and maybe some de-icing fluid.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 18, 2025, 3:06 PM
This coupler is designed for liquid service. Keep in mind the Buna-N seal material offers good resistance to petroleum-based fluids, but for specific chemical compatibility, it's always best to consult a chemical compatibility chart.
