Designed for versatility, this brass compression fitting accommodates plastic, copper, and aluminum tubing. The 90-degree elbow configuration is engineered to fit 0.38-inch tube OD to 1/8-27 male NPT threads, making it ideal for use in instrumentation as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Crafted from CA360 brass, this fitting ensures durability and reliable performance within a temperature range from -65deg;F to +250deg;F with metal tubing. When paired with compatible plastic tubing, do not exceed the tubing temperature range. The fitting supports working pressures up to 2000 psi, maintaining a 4:1 safety factor depending on tube size.

Assembly is hassle-free, requiring no flaring of the tubing. The fitting meets ASA, ASME, and SAE specifications and has Underwriterrsquo;s Laboratories listing for flammable liquids available on special order. For enhanced resistance to vibration, consider using the long nut configuration.

For use with aluminum, copper, and plastic tubing, note that plastic tubingmdash;except Eaton PT230mdash;requires the 2030 insert. This fitting is not recommended for steel tubing.

got 3/8 inch tubing and need to turn into a port, is this the right elbow for 1/8 npt?

For a 3/8 inch tube outside diameter, this fitting matches 0.375 inch tube OD on the compression side and has a 1/8-27 male NPT on the threaded side, in a 90 degree elbow.

Will this fitting hold up okay if I'm running some hydraulics in my shop? Just wondering if it's tough enough.

This brass compression fitting is rated for working pressures up to 2000 psi, with a 4:1 safety factor, depending on the tube size. It's suitable for hydraulic systems when used within those pressure limits.

does this elbow work with plastic tubing, or is it just for metal lines?

Plastic tubing is supported, but there's one thing to keep in mind. Most plastic tubing requires the 2030 insert to get a proper seal. The one exception is Eaton PT230, which does not need the insert. For copper and aluminum, no insert is needed. No flaring required on any of them, which makes the whole job a lot cleaner.
