The Brass Compression Fitting For Plastic Copper & Aluminum Tubing 0.38 Inch Tube OD To 1/2-14 Male NPT 90 deg Elbow is designed to meet the rigorous demands of instrumentation hydraulic and pneumatic systems. With a thread size of 1/2-14 and a tube outer diameter of 0.375 inches this fitting ensures a secure and reliable connection.

Constructed from high-quality CA360 brass it provides durability and resistance to a wide range of temperatures from -65F to +250F with metal tubing. The fitting withstands working pressures up to 2000 psi depending on tube size ensuring robust performance across various applications.

Easy to assemble and requiring no flaring this fitting offers a broad selection of styles and sizes and is compatible with plastic copper and aluminum tubing. For plastic tubing an Eaton PT230 insert is required except for Eaton PT230.

With fair resistance to vibration it is recommended to use a long nut for enhanced vibration resistance. The fitting adheres to ASA ASME and SAE specifications and is listed by Underwriters Laboratories for flammable liquids on special orders.

fitting says it works with plastic tubing but do I need anything extra to make that happen, or does it just thread on like normal?

For plastic tubing you'll need an Eaton PT230 insert to go along with this fitting. Without it, the compression connection won't seat properly against the softer tubing wall. The insert supports the tube from the inside so the ferrule can grip without collapsing it. That requirement applies to plastic only. Copper and aluminum tubing don't need the insert and go together without any extra hardware.
