Constructed from CA360 brass this fitting features a robust design capable of withstanding working pressures up to 2000 psi contingent on the tube size and adhering to a 4:1 safety factor.

It operates efficiently within a temperature range of -65F to +250F when utilized with metal tubing and offers fair vibration resistance. Compatibility with plastic tubing is assured when appropriate inserts are used although it is not advised for steel tubing.

The product is easy to assemble requiring no flaring and comes with the option of a long or short nut. Adherence to ASA ASME and SAE specifications ensures high performance further enhanced by Underwriters Laboratories listing for flammable liquids on special order.

fitting says it works with plastic tubing but do I need any special inserts for that or can I just run the tube straight in?

For plastic tubing, you'll want to use the appropriate inserts. Without them, the compression sleeve can deform softer tubing walls and you won't get a reliable seal. Metal tubing like copper or aluminum can go in without that extra step since the material holds its shape under compression. The inserts are what make this fitting safe and functional for plastic applications.
