The Danfoss / Eaton Compression Male Connector is designed for efficient use with plastic copper and aluminum tubing. This brass fitting features a 0.25 inch tube outer diameter and a 1/8-27 male NPT straight thread.

Engineered from CA360 brass it can support working pressures up to 2000 psi with a 4:1 safety factor depending on tube size and operates optimally within a temperature range of -65F to +250F with metal tubing. For plastic tubing adhere to the corresponding temperature range.

Assembly is straightforward requiring no flaring. Simply cut the tubing slide the nut and sleeve on insert the tubing into the fitting body lubricate the threads and tighten. Compliance with ASA ASME and SAE standards ensures reliability.

For applications in instrumentation hydraulic and pneumatic systems this fitting offers fair resistance to vibration and is available with either a long or short nut. It is not recommended for steel tubing and is notably cost-effective.

does this fitting work with plastic tubing or just metal? got some 1/4 inch OD line i need to connect up to a 1/8 NPT port

Plastic tubing is actually one of the main use cases for this fitting, along with copper and aluminum. The 1/4 inch OD tube size and 1/8-27 male NPT thread are exactly what you described, so the dimensions line up. Just keep in mind that the temperature rating of -65F to +250F applies to metal tubing. For plastic, you'll want to go by the temperature limits of whatever tubing you're running.

Will this fitting work okay with some soft aluminum tubing I've got?

This fitting is designed for use with plastic, copper, and aluminum tubing, so it should work fine with your soft aluminum tubing. Just be sure to follow the recommended installation procedure.
