Brass Compression Fitting For Plastic, Copper, & Aluminum Tubing, 0.38 Inch Tube OD To 3/8-18 Male NPT, Straight

Description & Features

This fitting offers a reliable solution for connecting plastic copper and aluminum tubing. Featuring a male connector with a 0.38 inch tube outer diameter and 3/8-18 male NPT thread it ensures secure and leak-free connections.

Manufactured from CA360 brass it meets ASA ASME and SAE specifications and has a working pressure up to 2000 psi with a 4:1 safety factor.

Temperature ranges from -65F to +250F with metal tubing making it versatile for various conditions. For plastic tubing its essential to adhere to the specific tubings temperature range. The fitting is designed for instrumentation hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Easy to assemble without flaring it offers fair vibration resistance which can be enhanced by using a long nut. Suitable for various tube materials additional inserts may be required for some plastic tubing types.

Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Joyce C on Aug 13, 2025, 4:43 PM
Will this fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic system running around 1500 psi?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 14, 2025, 9:50 PM
Yes, it should. These fittings are rated for working pressures up to 2000 psi, so 1500 psi is well within its limits, giving you a good safety margin.
Question by: Ricky J on Dec 3, 2025, 6:17 AM
fitting says it works with plastic tubing but does it need any extra parts for that or does everything come with it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 4, 2025, 8:06 PM
For some plastic tubing types, inserts are required to get a proper seal and keep the tubing from collapsing under the ferrule. Those inserts are not included with the fitting itself, so you'd want to confirm whether your specific plastic tubing requires them before assembly. Copper and aluminum tubing generally go in without extras.
