Brass Compression Fitting For Plastic, Copper, & Aluminum Tubing, 0.50 Inch Tube OD To 3/8-18 Male NPT, Straight

Description & Features

The Danfoss / Eaton Compression Male Connector provides a reliable solution for connecting plastic copper and aluminum tubing to hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Designed to accommodate tube O.D. sizes of 0.50 inches and featuring a 3/8-18 male NPT thread this fitting ensures a secure connection without the need for flaring.

Constructed from CA360 brass it meets ASA ASME and SAE standards making it suitable for applications requiring up to 2000 psi pressure.

Notable for its straightforward assembly the fitting comes with an option for long or short nuts based on vibration resistance requirements. The temperature range is -65F to +250F when used with metal tubing.

A broad selection of styles and sizes are available to cater to various needs. For plastic tubing Eaton PT230 and the 2030 insert are recommended to maintain compatibility.

Conformance: Meets ASA ASME and SAE standards; UL listed for flammable liquids.

Question by: Steve L on Apr 11, 2025, 6:42 PM
fitting says it works with plastic tubing -- do i need any extra parts for that or does it just thread on?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 13, 2025, 6:22 AM
For plastic tubing, you'll want to pick up an Eaton PT230 insert along with the 2030 insert to keep everything compatible and properly supported. The fitting itself handles the compression connection, but those inserts are what hold up the tubing wall so it doesn't deform under pressure. Without them, plastic tubing can collapse at the joint over time. For copper or aluminum, no inserts are needed.
