The 0.50 Inch Tube OD to 3/8-18 Male NPT 90 deg Elbow by Danfoss Power Solutions (Aeroquip Inc-Alternate) ensures compliance with SAE and DOT FMVSS 571.106 standards. This fitting is designed for use with NT100 nylon tubing specifically SAE J844 Type A and B with a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi.

Constructed from CA360 brass this fitting offers a temperature range of -40F to +200F and fair vibration resistance. It features a built-in tube support providing easy assembly without tube preparation or flaring.

To assemble cut the tubing to the desired length slide the nut and sleeve on the tubing and insert the tubing into the fitting. Ensure the tubing is bottomed in the fitting body before tightening the nut. The reassembly process involves pushing the tubing and insert back into the fitting body until it bottoms and tightening the nut as specified.

fitting says DOT approved but what standard exactly does it meet? need to know for compliance paperwork on our rig builds

It carries DOT FMVSS 571.106 approval and also meets SAE standards. Both are built into the design, so it qualifies for air brake system use on commercial vehicle builds without needing additional certification chasing on your end.
