The Brass Field Attachable 338 B Series Air Brake Hose End is designed with a male 0.50 inch NPT fitting suitable for connections with -06 Hose. Engineered from CA360 brass this hose end provides excellent corrosion resistance.

Compatible with H105 H115 and H338 hoses this fitting is versatile for various air brake line configurations. The assembly requires no mandrel and utilizes a simple three-step process: slide the nut and sleeve onto the hose push the hose into the fitting and screw the nut until it contacts the hex body.

It's important to note that the pressure range is determined by the lesser of the maximum working pressure for the hose size and the hose end configuration. This fitting is stamped with DOT for quality assurance while the PTF SAE Short end type and hex size of 0.969 inches further ensure reliable performance.

does this fitting work with H338 hose or is it only for the other types?

H338 is actually one of the three compatible hoses for this fitting, along with H105 and H115. All three work with this -06 size brass hose end, so you're good to go with H338.

Trying to hook this up to a -06 air brake hose, is the thread on this end 1/2 inch male NPT?
