The Brass Field Attachable 338 B Series Air Brake Hose End Spring Guard for -06 Hose is designed for air brake hose applications. The robust CA360 brass construction ensures durability and excellent resistance against corrosion.

The 338 B Series is easily assembled accommodating a variety of hose end configurations. Suitable for hoses such as H105 H115 and H338 it does not require a mandrel or thread sealant.

The fitting process involves sliding the nut and sleeve onto the hose pushing the hose into the fitting until it bottoms and screwing the nut until contact is made with the body hex. Stamped with DOT parts the pressure range is determined by the maximum working pressure for the respective hose size and configuration.

This fitting is compatible with H105, H115, and H338 hoses.

does this thing work without a mandrel or do I need special tools to put it together

No mandrel required and no thread sealant either. You slide the nut and sleeve onto the hose, push the hose into the fitting until it bottoms out, then screw the nut down until it contacts the body hex. That's the whole process. Most folks can knock it out without any specialty tooling.

got a -06 air brake hose here, is this spring guard hose end the right size for it?
