Question by: Denise H on Sep 14, 2025, 11:54 AM
Will this fitting hold up for connecting some hydraulic lines on my farm equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 16, 2025, 6:33 AM
Designed for effective fluid transfer, this brass adapter should provide a durable connection for your hydraulic lines, as it's made from high-quality bar stock.
Question by: Jerry M on Feb 27, 2026, 2:52 PM
does this elbow need any thread tape or sealant to seal up right, or do the threads handle that on their own?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 28, 2026, 6:12 PM
Male NPT threads on this fitting are cut to create a mechanical seal as they're tightened into a mating connection. That said, most installers in fluid transfer applications still run a wrap of PTFE tape or a thread compound just to be safe, especially on pressurized lines. The brass bar stock construction gives you solid thread engagement, but good sealing practice generally means not skipping that step regardless of fitting type.

trying to swap out an elbow i busted, is this one a 1/2-14 male NPT on both ends?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 9, 2026, 5:35 PM
It is a male NPT to male NPT 90 degree elbow with 1/2-14 threads called out, so both ends are 1/2-14 male NPT.
