trying to step a line down, is this the straight brass piece that goes from 1/4-18 male NPT to 1/8-27 male NPT?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 7, 2025, 5:02 PM
For a simple size step-down, it’s a straight hex nipple with male NPTF threads on both ends, one side 1/4-18 and the other 1/8-27.

Will this here fitting work alright for hooking up some refrigeration lines?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 28, 2025, 6:52 AM
This adapter is often used in refrigeration systems, along with grease, instrumentation, and hydraulic setups.
Question by: Chad C on Nov 20, 2025, 2:15 PM
Does this adapter need any kind of thread sealant, or does it come with something already applied to the threads?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 22, 2025, 6:21 AM
Nothing is pre-applied to the threads on this one. It ships without any sealant, so you get to choose what works best for your setup, whether that's PTFE tape, a paste compound, or whatever you normally run. That actually makes it easier to match your existing system requirements, especially in instrumentation or refrigeration lines where certain sealants are preferred over others.
