Brass Adapter, 1/4-18 Male NPT To 9/16-18 Male JIC 37 deg Flare, 90 deg Elbow

Description & Features

The precision-engineered brass adapter ensures reliable connections for applications ranging from marine and military to chemical processing. Specifically it features a 1/4-18 male NPT connection paired with a 9/16-18 male JIC 37-degree flare at a 90-degree elbow making it ideal for off-shore drilling and food and beverage processing industries.

Manufactured by Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip) this brass adapter is designed for durability and optimal performance in demanding environments. It operates efficiently with a minimum working temperature of -65 degrees and accommodates tube outer diameters of 0.38 inches.

From chemical processing to pulp and paper industries its robust design ensures secure leak-free connections. The precise threading (NPTF for end 1 and SAE 37 for end 2) eliminates the need for additional thread sealant.

Question by: Lee M on Jun 8, 2025, 10:05 AM
trying to hook up a 1/4 npt line to a jic flare and keep it tight in a cramped spot, is this the right elbow for that
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 9, 2025, 7:31 PM
For that kind of hookup, it matches the common combo you’re describing: one end is 1/4-18 male NPTF and the other end is 9/16-18 male JIC with a 37 degree flare, and it’s built as a 90 degree elbow for tighter routing.
Question by: Curt L on Sep 6, 2025, 12:28 PM
Hey, will this adapter work for connecting a pressure gauge to a hydraulic pump?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 7, 2025, 2:57 PM
Use-case-first: You could use this adapter in that way, provided the pump has a 1/4-18 male NPT port and your gauge has a 9/16-18 male JIC 37-degree flare connection.
Question by: Dale M on Apr 27, 2025, 4:32 PM
Got a hydraulic line that needs to make a hard turn in a tight spot and I gotta go from a pipe thread fitting over to a JIC flare connection. this the right piece for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 29, 2025, 11:59 AM
For that exact situation, yes. One end is 1/4-18 male NPT, which threads into standard pipe thread ports, and the other end is 9/16-18 male JIC with a 37-degree flare seat. The 90-degree elbow body handles the direction change, so you're not forcing a bend into the line itself. It's brass, made by Eaton Aeroquip, and the NPTF threading on the pipe end is precision enough that you typically won't need thread sealant on either connection.
