trying to tee off a 3/8 pipe line, are all three ports on this tee the same 3/8-18 thread?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 23, 2025, 12:54 PM
All three ends are 3/8-18 NPTF. The run uses one male NPTF and one female NPTF, and the branch is a female FPT, all at 3/8-18.

Will this tee fitting work okay with hydraulic fluid?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 9, 2025, 6:37 AM
This brass adapter is made to handle harsh conditions, which includes working with hydraulic fluid in industrial applications.
Question by: Chad C on Aug 5, 2025, 11:59 AM
Does this tee need any thread sealant, or is it good to go straight out of the box?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 7, 2025, 7:47 AM
No sealant required. The NPTF threading on all three ends is what handles that. NPTF threads are cut to create a mechanical seal through thread interference, so when properly torqued, you get a leak-free connection without tape or compound. That said, some folks still use a light application of sealant as extra insurance in high-vibration environments, but the fitting is built to work without it.
