Question by: Duane H on Jul 10, 2025, 4:12 PM
bought one of these a while back for a reducer fitting job and it worked out fine, but this one says lead-free brass -- is that the same stuff or is there a difference I should know about?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 12, 2025, 8:22 AM
Lead-free brass is the same durable, corrosion-resistant material you'd expect from a quality fitting, just formulated without lead content. That matters a lot in systems where the fitting might come into contact with potable water or where local codes require lead-free compliance. For general industrial use, you'll get the same solid performance either way. The corrosion resistance holds up well, and the longevity you got out of your last one should carry over with this version.
