With a 6.00 mm tube outer diameter the fitting simplifies assembly by enabling push-to-connect functionality eliminating the need for tools. This feature combined with reusability significantly reduces time spent on installation and removal.

got 6mm metric tube, can i just push it in by hand or do i need wrenches for this tee

Push to connect is the whole idea on this one, so it’s made to go together without tools. It’s a union tee for 6.00 mm tube OD, and it’s built to save time on install and removal since it’s reusable.

push to connect fittings like this one -- do they actually hold up in compressed air lines or do they tend to leak after a while?

For compressed pneumatic lines running up to 250 psi, these hold up well. The Buna-N o-ring seats against the tube and keeps a solid seal through normal pressure cycling. The nickel-plated brass body resists corrosion better than bare brass, so you're not looking at early wear in typical shop or instrumentation environments. One thing worth knowing: the fitting is reusable, so if you ever need to pull a tube and reconnect it, you don't have to swap out the fitting each time.

Will this tee fitting hold up okay in a pneumatic system pushing around 200 psi?
