The DANFOSS POWER SOLUTIONS Push>Connect Swivel Straight Adapter is expertly designed for applications in compressed pneumatic instrumentation and circuit lines. This fitting demonstrates impressive ease of assembly requiring no tools for connection and disconnection. Simply push the tubing into the fitting or depress the collet ring to release.

Constructed from brass and nickel-plated materials this fitting ensures durability and reliability. It is compatible with PT230 and TP160 nylon and PT240 polyethylene tubing. The fitting is rated up to 250 psi depending on tube size and can withstand 29.5 inches of mercury vacuum.

The temperature range for these fittings spans from -40F to 200F making them versatile for various environmental conditions. Seals are made from Buna-N with Viton available upon special request. The fitting accommodates a 0.25 inch tube OD and features a 1/4-18 male NPT thread.

fitting says it works with PT230 and PT240 tubing -- we got some PT240 polyethylene running on our pneumatic instrumentation lines, that gonna mate up alright with this one?

PT240 polyethylene is one of the listed compatible tube types for this fitting, so you're good there. Push the tubing straight in until it seats and you're connected. No tools needed, and when you're ready to pull it apart, just depress the collet ring to release. For a quarter-inch OD tube going into a 1/4-18 male NPT port, this is a clean, straightforward match.

got a quarter inch nylon tube here, does this fitting take that and screw into a 1/4 npt port?

Fit-wise it matches 0.25 inch tube OD on the push to connect side and a 1/4-18 male NPT thread on the other end, so it’s meant to push onto 1/4 inch OD tubing and thread into a 1/4-18 NPT female port.
