The Danfoss / Eaton Push>Connect Swivel Straight Adapter offers ease of assembly and disassembly with no need for tools thanks to its push-to-connect design. Constructed from durable brass with nickel plating this fitting ensures long-lasting use with its robust materials. The fitting is designed for use with PT230 and TP160 nylon and PT240 polyethylene tubing accommodating a wide range of applications. The temperature range for the fitting spans from -40F to 200F and it is essential to consider the tubing temperature range when in use. The straight adapter is fitted with Buna-N O-rings with Viton seals available upon request. It can handle pressures up to 250 psi depending on tubing size and is rated for a vacuum of 29.5 inches of mercury.

fitting says it works with PT230 and PT240 tubing, does that include standard polyethylene line or just the nylon stuff?

Both are covered. PT230 and TP160 are nylon tubing types, and PT240 is polyethylene. So if you're running either material, this fitting is built to work with it. Just keep in mind the tubing's own temperature rating matters too, not just the fitting's, so factor that in when you're putting it to use in a hot environment.

Will this fitting work alright for hooking up nylon tubing in a pneumatic system?

This Eaton Aeroquip fitting is indeed suitable for compressed pneumatic systems when used with PT230 and TP160 nylon tubing.
