This Quick Connect Brass Air Brake Tube Fitting provides moderate vibration resistance making it suitable for a range of industrial environments.
Its streamlined design enables fast and easy assembly without specialized tools and it remains reusable for field service maintenance. The 45-degree elbow shape facilitates efficient tube routing in tight spaces enhancing system flexibility.
Conformance: Meets D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 standards.
fitting says it goes up to 150 psi, is that enough for a standard air brake system or am I gonna be coming up short?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 4, 2025, 7:25 PM
For typical air brake systems, 150 psi covers you just fine. Most commercial air brake circuits run between 100 and 125 psi under normal operating conditions, so this fitting has a reasonable buffer above that. It also carries DOT FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 ratings, which are the compliance benchmarks specifically tied to air brake applications. You're not going to be pushing against the limits on a standard setup.

Will this fitting hold up okay if I'm running air to some tools in my shop? Just wondering if it's tough enough.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 27, 2025, 8:11 AM
This fitting is made from CA360 brass, which is pretty durable, plus it's got an EP O-ring that can handle high temperatures and pressures. Should do the trick for your shop tools, provided you stay within its rated limits.

trying to swap out an elbow on my air brake line, is this the one for 3/8 tube going into a 1/4-18 male npt port?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 3, 2025, 1:20 PM
It’s made to accept 0.38 inch tube OD on the push-to-connect side and it has a 1/4-18 male NPT thread on the other end, with a 45 degree elbow to help turn the line in tight spots.
