Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Vince H on Aug 14, 2025, 12:25 PM
fitting says it goes up to 150 psi -- is that enough for a standard air brake system or do I need something rated higher?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 15, 2025, 2:48 PM
For most air brake applications, 150 psi is right in the working range. Air brake systems typically operate well below that ceiling, so this fitting covers what you'd expect to see in normal service. It also meets D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 requirements, which are the recognized performance standards for air brake fittings, so it's not just a pressure number on paper.
