fitting says it goes up to 150 psi, is that enough for a standard air brake setup or should I be looking at something heavier duty?

For typical air brake systems, 150 psi covers the working range you'd expect to see. These systems generally operate well below that ceiling, so this fitting holds up fine under normal conditions. It's also rated down to full vacuum on the low end, which means it handles the full pressure swing an air brake circuit sees during regular operation.
