Manufactured from high-quality CA360 brass this male connector is designed for durability and reliability. The EP (Ethylene Propylene) O-ring ensures effective sealing contributing to its reusable and field serviceable nature.
The fitting supports a pressure range from vacuum to 150 psi with a temperature range of -40F to +200F. Its assembly is straightforward: cut the tube at a right angle insert it into the fitting until it stops and ensure a secure connection by gently tugging on the tubing.
Conforming to D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 air brake system performance standards this fitting is ideal for various industrial applications. Its moderate resistance to vibration enhances its stability in demanding environments.
Easy disassembly is also facilitated by a depressible collet head that releases the tube grip. This feature allows for quick maintenance and adjustments without compromising the integrity of the connection.
The Brass Push>Connect Air Brake Tube Fitting 0.50 Inch Tube OD To 3/8-18 Male NPT Straight is a versatile component in the Quick Connect Brass Air Brake Tube Fittings category.

Does this fitting hold up somewhere around 150 psi, or is that pushing it for air brake lines?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 24, 2025, 6:45 AM
150 psi is actually the top of its rated range, so you're right at the limit rather than comfortably below it. For air brake applications running at typical system pressures, that ceiling is generally sufficient. The fitting also handles vacuum on the low end, so it covers the full spread of what most air brake circuits see. Just make sure your tube is cut square before insertion and seated all the way in before you put it under pressure.

Will this fitting hold up okay in an air brake system on my old farm truck?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 2, 2025, 8:34 PM
This fitting is designed specifically for air brake systems and meets D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 standards, so it should be a good fit for your application. It's made from CA360 brass for durability, and the EP O-ring will give you a reliable seal.
