Brass Push>Connect Air Brake Tube Fitting, 0.50 Inch Tube OD To 1/2-14 Male NPT, Straight

Description & Features

The Brass Push>Connect Air Brake Tube Fitting 0.50 Inch Tube OD To 1/2-14 Male NPT Straight crafted by Danfoss Power Solutions (Aeroquip Inc-Alternate) ensures optimal performance for air brake systems.

Designed for robust applications this male connector guarantees easy and fast assembly thanks to its one-piece construction and reusable field serviceability. Made from high-quality CA360 brass with an EP (Ethylene Propylene) O-ring it offers reliable sealing and durability. This fitting supports a pressure range from vacuum to 150 psi and can withstand temperatures between -40F to +200F.

Its design meets D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 air brake system performance requirements ensuring compliance with industry standards. Moderate vibration resistance adds to its reliability in demanding environments. The fitting allows for secure tubing grip and seal simplifying the connection process.

For disassembly ensure no air pressure is present and depress the collet head to release the grip on the tubing. The straightforward disconnection process reinforces its user-friendly design.

Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Terry C on Apr 24, 2025, 7:03 AM
fitting says it goes up to 150 psi, is that enough for a standard air brake setup, or should I be looking at something rated higher?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 25, 2025, 10:11 AM
For air brake systems, 150 psi covers the operating range you'll run into on most commercial vehicles and trailers. The pressure window on this fitting runs from full vacuum all the way up to 150 psi, which lines up with what D.O.T. and SAE J1131 requirements are built around. If your system is pushing beyond that threshold, you'd need a different fitting, but for typical air brake use this rating holds up fine.
