Description & Features

The Danfoss / Eaton Push>Connect Swivel Tee/Y Adapter offers reliable performance for air brake systems. Crafted from CA360 brass with an EP O-ring this fitting ensures durability and secure connections. Conforming to D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 standards it provides a robust solution for air brake applications. Designed for quick and easy assembly a square edge cut on the tubing is required for an optimal fit. Insert the tube straight into the fitting until a solid stop is felt ensuring a secure grip. The fitting supports vacuum to 150 psi pressure range and withstands temperatures from -40F to +200F making it suitable for various environments. Moderate vibration resistance further enhances its reliability. Disassembly involves ensuring no air pressure then depressing the collet head using fingers or the Eaton tube release tool. Once the collet is depressed the tubing can be easily pulled from the fitting.

Question by: Ralph P on Mar 11, 2026, 8:33 AM
fitting says it needs a square edge cut on the tube before inserting, how particular are they about that, and what happens if the cut ain't perfectly square?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 12, 2026, 10:04 AM
A clean, square cut matters more than most folks expect with push-connect fittings like this one. The collet grips the tube by biting evenly around the full circumference, so if the end is angled or ragged, you can end up with a weak hold or a slow leak instead of a solid seal. A good tubing cutter gets you there without much fuss. Once the end is clean and square, push the tube straight in until you feel it hit a firm stop. That's how you know it's seated right.

Will this fitting work with standard nylon air brake tubing?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 28, 2025, 7:20 PM
Yes, this Push>Connect fitting is designed for use in air brake systems, and it meets D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 standards, so it's suitable for that purpose. Just be sure to make a square edge cut on the tubing before you insert it.
