How tight should I make this thing when I'm hooking it up to the nylon tubing? Don't wanna crack anything.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 12, 2025, 4:19 PM
These Push>Connect fittings are designed for easy, tool-free assembly. You'll want to push the tubing in firmly until it's fully seated to ensure a secure connection. No need to overtighten it.

fitting says it works with PT230 and PT240 tubing -- does that cover standard 1/4 inch nylon or poly line you'd find at most supply houses
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 19, 2025, 8:11 AM
PT230 is a nylon tubing and PT240 is a polyethylene tubing, both rated for use with this fitting at the 1/4 inch OD size. If the tubing you have on hand matches either of those Eaton-designated types at that outer diameter, you're in good shape. TP160 nylon tubing is also listed as compatible, so there are a few options that work with this connector without needing to hunt down anything exotic.
