Danfoss Power Solutions (Aeroquip Inc-Alternate) offers a reliable and efficient brass push-connect union fitting for metric tube applications. With a union design and a tube outer diameter of 12.00 mm this fitting is designed for ease of assembly and reusability eliminating the need for tools during installation and disassembly.

Manufactured from high-quality brass with nickel plating the fitting is suitable for compressed pneumatic instrumentation circuit lubricant and cooling lines. The brass construction ensures durability while the Buna-N O-ring seal guarantees consistent performance. For special requirements Viton O-rings are available upon request.

The fitting can operate within a temperature range of -40F to 200F and supports up to 250 psi pressure depending on the tube size. It is also rated for 29.5 inches of mercury vacuum providing versatility in various industrial applications.

got 12mm metric tube already, is this the push in union that’ll join it straight through?

With a union body and a 12.00 mm tube OD connection, it’s meant to connect two runs of 12 mm metric tube in a straight-through union setup using the push-connect ends.

fitting says it works on pneumatic and instrumentation lines -- does that include cooling lines too or just air/gas stuff

Cooling lines are covered along with compressed pneumatic, instrumentation circuit, and lubricant lines. Brass construction with a Buna-N O-ring seal handles that range of service well, and the nickel plating adds a layer of durability on top of that. If you happen to need it for something with more aggressive fluid compatibility, Viton O-rings are available on request.

Will this fitting hold up okay in a standard pneumatic system for shop air?

These brass fittings are indeed suitable for compressed air. They're often used in pneumatic instrumentation and circuit lines. Just keep in mind the pressure limit is 250 psi depending on your tube size.
