pushing tubing into these things and pulling it back out -- how's that work exactly, do you need any tools or special equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 19, 2025, 1:52 PM
No tools needed at all. Push the tubing straight in to connect, and when you want to disconnect, just press the collet ring in with two fingers and pull the tube free. The whole point of this fitting is fast, repeatable assembly without reaching for a wrench. Works with PT230 and TP160 nylon tubing as well as PT240 polyethylene tubing, so make sure whatever you're running is one of those types.

got 1/2 inch OD nylon tube, do i need any tools to hook this union tee up
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 16, 2026, 6:07 AM
No-tools hookup is the whole point of this style. You just push the tubing into the fitting to make the connection, and to remove it you press the collet ring in with two fingers and pull the tube back out. It’s made to work with PT230 and TP160 nylon tubing (and PT240 polyethylene too) in pneumatic and instrumentation type circuits.
