Rated for use from -10°F to 200°F, this brass push-in fitting connects 3/8" OD polyurethane, polybutylene, or soft metal tubing to a 1/4-18 female NPT port in a straight bulkhead configuration. The Brass Push-In Tube Fitting, 0.38 Tube OD to 1/4-18 Female NPT, Straight Bulkhead is manufactured by Alkon Corp in brass with Buna-N O-rings as standard.

Tube insertion engages gripping teeth that lock against the tube OD while the O-ring forms a leak-proof seal. Pulling back on the tube or applying line pressure only tightens the grip, no tools required for connection. Male threads come with pre-applied Teflon-based pipe sealant. The full-flow design supports vacuum service as well as standard pneumatic line pressure within the working pressure limits of the connected tubing.

got a 3/8" OD polyurethane air line, will this fitting screw into a 1/4-18 female NPT port and hold without clamps?

For hooking up thermoplastic air line fast, it takes 3/8 inch OD polyurethane tubing and seals on the tube OD with a Buna-N O-ring while the teeth grip the tubing. On the pipe side, it is made to connect to a 1/4-18 female NPT port, and the tube connection is tool-free with no clamp needed.
