trying to connect a 1/4 inch air line to a smaller 5/32 tube on a pneumatic panel and need something to bridge the two sizes inline. this the right fitting for that?

That's what this reducer is built for. It connects a 1/4 inch OD tube on one end to a 5/32 inch OD tube on the other, all in a single inline body. Push-to-connect on both ends means you just seat the tubing and you're done, no tools needed. At just over an inch long and under half an inch tall, it tucks in tight without taking up much real estate in the panel.

got 1/4 air line on one side and 5/32 on the other, is this the little push-in reducer for that?

For stepping down between two tube sizes in-line, it connects 1/4 inch tube OD on one end to 5/32 inch tube OD on the other using push-to-connect ends.
