got a -20 hose and need a straight female JIC swivel, is this the right one or am i off a size
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 5, 2025, 8:40 PM
Match three things: it’s made for a -20 hose, the female swivel end is a JIC 37 degree flare (SAE 37), and the thread is 1-5/8-12. If your mating side is a 37 degree JIC male with 1-5/8-12 threads, this is the correct straight female swivel fitting.

So, this fitting works with one-wire braid hose, right? Just want to double check before I order a bunch.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 6, 2026, 3:58 PM
Use-case-first, this brass fitting is indeed compatible with one-wire braid hose. Specifically, it's designed for -20 hose size.
Question by: Tammy J on Apr 17, 2025, 5:58 PM
fitting says it's reusable, does that mean I can pull it off one hose and put it on another, or is that more about being able to assemble it in the field without a crimper?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 19, 2025, 1:24 PM
Reusable in this context means you don't need a crimping machine to attach it. The fitting threads onto the hose mechanically, so you can assemble it on the job with standard tools. That also means if a hose goes bad, you can reclaim the fitting and put it on a new hose rather than scrapping the whole assembly. For a -20 size brass fitting like this one, that's a real cost saver on a long run.
