Product Questions & Answers (3)

Question by: Melvin F on May 23, 2025, 8:21 AM
Can this fitting be used to pull suction on a water transfer setup, or is it strictly for pushing fluid?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 24, 2025, 5:28 PM
Suction service is actually one of the main applications for this fitting. It handles both low pressure discharge and suction duty for compatible liquids. Just keep in mind the working pressure will depend on factors like the hose construction, number of clamps, clamp placement, and the fluid being moved. Pair it with the right hose and clamps and it should work fine for a water transfer application.
Question by: Carl M on Oct 12, 2025, 8:54 PM
What kind of pressure can this thing handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 14, 2025, 1:07 PM
Combination nipples like this are really meant for lower pressure jobs, mostly discharge and suction. Keep in mind the hose and clamps you're using play a big role, so make sure everything's up to snuff.

trying to swap out an old fitting, is this one a 2 inch hose barb on one side and 2 inch male pipe threads on the other?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 25, 2026, 2:58 PM
It is a medium shank combination nipple with a 2.00 inch hose ID shank on one end and a 2 inch Male NPT threaded end on the other.
