Question by: Harvey J on May 6, 2025, 2:01 PM
I need a fitting to go from a 5/16" hose to a 1/2-20 SAE flare. Is this the right part?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 8, 2025, 1:39 PM
This fitting is designed to connect a 0.31 inch (5/16") ID hose to a 1/2-20 SAE 45-degree flare connection.
Question by: Shawn S on Nov 13, 2025, 9:09 AM
does this fitting work for low pressure suction lines, or is it more of a discharge-only deal?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 14, 2025, 7:28 PM
Low pressure fluid transfer covers both suction and discharge, so it handles either side of that equation. Just keep in mind the working pressure you actually get out of it depends on the hose itself, how many clamps you're running, where they're placed, and what you're moving through the line. The fitting is machined from free cutting brass CDA 360 alloy, so the metal side of things is solid. The hose and clamp setup is really where your pressure ceiling gets set.
